Safe, non-toxic, recyclable home insulation that isn’t affected by moisture, mould or mildew
Polyester Insulation is made with semi-rigid construction of polyester fibres much like the material within polyester duvets. This provides both structural integrity and great thermal properties without the potential harm of fibreglass insulation varieties, whose fibres can break up and compromise your home’s air quality.
We use a mix of polyester insulation for ceilings, under floor and walls all locally supplied from Technobond® made locally, right here in Dunedin. Aotearoa Insulation has a team of installers with the skills and expertise to install Technobond® correctly, even reach into confined ceiling spaces if need be. Technobond® is also BRANZ approved, and meets NZ Department of Building and Housing 15 and 50 year durability requirements, with strong resistance to sag, deterioration and rot compared to other insulation varieties.
Benefits of Polyester – Home, Wall & Ceiling Insulation
• Safe – the fibres are not of a breathable size which supports safe air quality, especially for those suffering from allergies, respiratory conditions or asthma
• Non-toxic – No chemicals are used to bind the fibres such as formaldehyde used in fibreglass insulation that are potentially health-threatening
• Environmentally friendly – made of mostly recycled polyester material and is 100% recyclable at the end of its life
• Not affected by moisture, mould or mildew, keeping the home healthier and drier.
All of our insulation products are EECA (Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority) approved and endorsed for its high standards in energy renewability and low impact on the environment.
Insulating your home not only keeps heating costs down, a warmer, drier home can be beneficial to the health of you and your family.
